Bon jour!

Glancing Girl here …
Do you remember this?

In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines,
lived twelve little girls in two straight lines
They left the house at half past nine…
the smallest one was Madeline.

*from Ludwig Bemelmans, “Madeline”.

It’s the first thing I think of when I think of France….
And France is just where the Ultimate Glancing Girl is headed this afternoon. It’s a European holiday, so today and tomorrow we’ll explore Paris and London – what the girls are wearing, where one should stop for a chocolate, etc. etc.

Here we go, dahhlings. Today, it’s all about France.

What’s inside a French wardrobe?

Big bags, boots, sunglasses, black dresses, crisp white shirts, big bangs…

*images from this is glamorous
Let’s go for a jaunt through the streets, shall we?

For a lovely dinner, where else but Les Ambassadeurs at Hotel de Crillon (cocktails in the bar are a must), followed by chocolates at La Petite Rose.
What fashion icon should you emulate while flitting through European streets?

Hello, lover…
Carrie’s dress is Balenciaga, coat by Christian LaCroix, and of course, the white Christian Louboutin stilletos.
