Glancing Girl here …

I used to be a strictly white gold type of girl. I never considered wearing yellow gold….it just seemed so, so, 1982.

And then things started changing…..

First there was Carrie’s little bauble

ghetto gold, remember?

Then there was this charm from Helen Ficalora I was gifted at my bridal shower,

(mine is rose gold)

It was like the floodgates had opened! Suddenly, I was snatching up gold hoop earrings, bangle bracelets, stacking rings.
In fact, my very favorite look is (horror of horrors) my white gold diamond Bulova watch worn with gold and peridot stacking rings.

Even if you’re not quite ready to mix white and yellow gold, you should definitely be wearing yellow gold. It is no longer a fashion faux pas, or an instant indication that you stopped caring about style in the 1980′s. Summer is the perfect time to try yellow gold if you’re worried – the shade perfectly complements a tan, or warms up paler skin tones.
