I was drawn to these Sartorialist shots for their distinct differences, as well as their similarities.
These lovely ladies are both working the same principle - neutrals with a pop of color. One does it with jewelry, the other with shoes.
This is a great example of how the same principles work for *all ages*.
I can't tell you how often I hear women of a certain age talk about how fashion is just "for the young people".
It most emphatically, is not.
The first photo proves my point perfectly...a mature, beautiful woman rocking classic pieces that she obviously feels comfortable in, using accessories to throw in a quirky edge.
And she looks just as stunning and sexy as the younger woman in the second image.
