Swap Parties

The latest issue of Vogue …

… includes an article about socialites and celebrities gathering for “swap” parties. Exclusive soirees that include dinner and something bubbly, followed by the serious work of ladies swapping items from their wardrobe that no longer fit, or they’ve tired of, etc. etc.

Even the upper east side is becoming savvy in our current situation.

I think this is a sweet idea, but wouldn’t you rather “swap” among 5,000 consignors than just a few girlfriends?
