I feel a little ashamed that I haven’t mentioned the fashion at this year’s Emmy awards.

The truth is, I missed the ceremony and the red carpet.

For shame.

But from the photos, I’d say the Mad Men ladies took the cake.

The film’s about a female roller derby team … which is all the rage now, right?

I adore Heidi Merrick’s collection.

She keeps things relatively classic and simple with little pops of whimsy – like a bright punch of color, a stripe, or an exposed zipper.

It’s not exactly in my budget to pick up any Merrick pieces this fall (unless I happen to find them resale, of course), but I’m definitely earmarking my favorite looks from the autumn collection and collecting pieces to mimic the ensembles.

I’m loving sooo many things about Halle in this shot.


First of all, what a lovely shade that champagne is on her skin.

She’s dazzling!

I also think her shorter locks and carmelly highlights are really nice for summer.

Her gold jewelry is perfect for warmer weather – it’s about this time every year that I move from white to yellow gold…it just compliments the sunshine so nicely!
