{By Grishley: A Read for Every Glancing Girl}

Grishley here…

I am a firm believer that whatever you do in life, you must do it with your heart. All the better to do what you love, even if it isn’t easy, even if it doesn’t pay your bills. I recently read this article, and it reinforced many of my core beliefs. Paul Graham dives into many of the reasons people don’t/believe they can’t be happy at work, even if they desire to be, and how to fall in love with what you do, and do what you love.

Here is just some food for thought…

“The test of whether people love what they do is whether they’d do it even if they weren’t paid for it—even if they had to work at another job to make a living. How many corporate lawyers would do their current work if they had to do it for free, in their spare time, and take day jobs as waiters to support themselves?”

I suggest snuggling up with a cup of coffee or a stiff gin & tonic and diving into this quick read. It is a humanized eye opener, and in many ways is like reading the advice of someone who has know you all your life.

Enjoy!
